Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that Takehiro Tomiyasu will be assessed ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League meeting against Luton Town on the road.
The Gunners registered a fifth straight win in all competitions on Saturday. They secured a 2-1 victory over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium after goals from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
Tomiyasu played his part with an assist for the opening goal. He continued to impress for most of the game before asking to be substituted with an apparent injury concern.
Speaking in today’s press conference, Arteta said that the Japanese star is being assessed by the medical staff and he was taken off on Saturday as a precaution.
The Gunners boss added that a final decision will be made over his availability tomorrow, but he is hopeful that the right-back will be fine to face Luton.
Arsenal have the opportunity to go five points clear at the top of the table with a win. If Tomiyasu is unfit to start, Ben White could get the nod in the first XI.
