Ajax forward Brian Brobbey is a target for Man Utd, as Old Trafford manager Erik Ten Hag could once more raid his former club to sign the 21-year-old striker. Brobbey has bagged 24 goals in 49 games in the Eredivisie, and has recently made his debut for the Netherlands international team.
Brobbey emerged through Ajax’s youth ranks and played for Jong Ajax before his promotion to the full squad in 2020. A short stint with RB Leipzig followed in 2021-22, before returning to his former club in a deal worth 16.35 million euros. Brobbey has once more caught the eye at the Amsterdam Arena.
Having appeared for the Dutch national youth team at almost every level, Brobbey has plenty of experience and is well known by United manager Erik Ten Hag.
Currently United striking duo Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford have struggled in front of goal, leaving Erik Ten Hag seeking a prolific forward to add to their squad. It is understood that Ajax are looking for at least 45 million euros to sell the striker. United have a budget of around £70 million to spend on new faces in the January transfer window.
